More about myself
I completed my Bachelor´s Degree in Communication and Psychology in Saint Louis University, Madrid. I also had the opportunity to apply for an exchange program with University of Glasgow which I also attended. This is where my interest in research in applied psychology and scientific research sparked.
I later validated my American degree in the European University of Madrid, where my training went further along the lines of scientific research and clinical practice. I was also able to get my first experience in an outpatient setting at a psychological counselling center, Instituto Terapéutico del Análisis de la Conducta (ITACO), in Madrid. I was able to spend more than 1 year with them where they introduced me to therapy with children, families and adults. I was also able to work with ASD and ADHD for the first time in a clinical setting. This experience gave me the certainty of knowing I wanted to work with children and families.
After validating my degree I moved to Pamplona, Navarra, where I was admitted to one of the most prestigious universities in Spain to pursue my Clinical Msc in General Health Psychology. Together with this I was able to work in one of the best hospitals in Spain, the University Hospital of Navarra, (CUN). By the hand of Carlos Centeno and his team in Palliative Medicine where I was able to experience my clinical practice with a new set of glasses. I interned in Palliative Medicine for 3 months and I was able to write my Master´s Thesis with the University Hospital, with which I completed my first publication, "The acceptability and Feasibility of the Patient Dignity Question."
